Beef & Broccoli Stir Fry

  • 1lb. Boneless steak.
  • 2 cups Broccoli.
  • ½ cup Beef broth.
  • ½ Diced red pepper.
  • ½ teaspoon Grated or shredded ginger.
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil.
  • 4 Green onions.
  • 4 tablespoon Soy sauce.
  • 1½ cup Sliced mushrooms.
  • 2 teaspoon Cornstarch.


  1. Slice beef thinly across the grain and add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and leave it to marinate while everything else gets ready.
  2. Mix together:
  3. Beef broth.
  4. Soy sauce.
  5. Cornstarch.
  6. Ginger.
  7. Then set them aside and spread oil on a frying pan or wok and heat to mid high heat to add:
  8. Broccoli.
  9. Mushrooms.
  10. Red pepper.
  11. Green onions.
  12. Stirring the vegetables at all times for 3 to 4 minutes till they become tender and crispy then remove vegetables from wok.
  13. With caution add a bit of oil to the wok then drop in the beef slices and stir fry for 2 to 3 minutes until the beef is slightly pink in the centre.
  14. Move the beef away from the centre of the pan to replace it with the sauce mixture, then once heated stir the sauce and beef together till the sauce thickens.
  15. Finally add in the vegetables to the wok and stir all together until everything is well coated and heated through.
