Bieber Rap Fever?

As 2011 is slowly becoming a thing of the past, with its Lex Lugger “trap beats“, Nicki Minaj playing on the Clear Channel radio stations in the U.S. till you vomit every bit of “Moment for life“ they over stuffed into your stomach like turkey on Thanksgiving weekend, LMFAO, Rihanna and all that bunch of over sexual artists who don’t have much to say (this is where you insert Drake’s famous ”hen!” to catch your breath) 2012, the mighty year of the apocalypse is right around the corner people!

You know it’s coming, you are expecting it but are you really ready for the End of the world? Are you? What will 2012 be about? More Drake, more Minaj, more Wayne, more Jay-Z or more uninteresting tracks Busted Balloon Belly Beyonce will try to flood the market with unsuccessfully? Is this what the rap/hip hop & music world in general is prepping for? Is it, because if this is what they got in stores for us, I am personally totally down with it, I have been conditioned well enough by the gigantic media networks and I’m happily expecting it with a nothing but a big smile on my face! But wait… No ladies & gents, 2012 is the year where rap goes back to the ghetto, where real people with real things to say in the likes of Public Enemy and Tupac Shakur will once again take over a music industry in great need of substance and beware because who’s better than Justin ”Hitman” Bieber, girlfriend Selena ”Body Count” Gomez & Taylor ”Lady Hood” Swift to deliver what they call ”fast rapping” on your local airwaves! Yeah, rapping as fast as Busta Rhymes and on a old school tip while skipping a word every 2 lines or releasing a Drake like “hen“ or “ooooh“ to catch their rich white people’s breath, they are coming to a hood near you! Sounds like a joke? OK, it is… only thing here, is that the joke is on you people of the world cause yes, this will be the new standard in rap and hip hop music from now on. In the words of Interscope’s legendary former chief A&R Gerardo, big labels are all aiming for the next “rapping Bieber with an attitude“. Can’t deny that in this time of big North American cities Occupation we could all use wise words of wisdom out the mouth of young revolutionary rebels Selena Gomez or Jayden Smith? Dude, don’t they rep the 1%, like motorcycle gangs and all that? What? You didn’t see it coming? Come on, Bieber hanging out with Drake (who got his street accreditation hanging out with Lil’ Wayne who got his kissing his adoptive dad on the mouth, etc…) while the cameras were rolling, shooting hoops at hip hop basketball games, just for fun AND ONLY for fun, spitting rehearsed rhymes (what they now call freestyles) on Power 106 Where Hip Hop Lives in Los Angeles or during the Morning Show on the almighty big bad Hot 97 in NYC… One must admit it was great work done by the kid’s publicists, but was it? Who decides what’s out there polluting the airwaves? The vicious program directors, the dirty lawyers, the shark publicists, the A&R’s or all the local DJ’s and media who always said they love Tupac & Biggie but now post some Justin Bieber on Facebook & Twitter claiming the kid is the future of hip hop? SMH…
