Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the world’s largest indoor amusement park and first Ferrari theme park with over 20 attractions for families, kids, and thrillers. The Ferrari world is located on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The City of Abu Dhabi began drawing attention through a variety of special projects, after the silence that prevailed in Dubai back in 2009. Since then the Ferrari World Theme Park project will be one of the main attractions at Abu Dhabi.
Ferrari World Theme Park is the world’s largest indoor amusement park located on Yas Island covering an area of 200,000 meter square which is around 2,152,782 square feet all under one roof which makes it the world’s largest indoor amusement park.
The style of the exterior design of the building has been inspired from the classical Ferrari GT. It also features the classic red colour which is the main Ferrari theme along with the prancing horse logo which is know as ‘Scuderia Ferrari’. The size of the logo is 65 meters by 48.5 meters or around 213 feet by 159 feet and that is considered to be Ferrari’s largest logo to be ever made.
It took 14 months to establish the external structure for the Ferrari World Theme Park and more than 4,500 workers per day to complete the work of this project. The heart of the Ferrari World Theme Park is the centre roof which holds the all the three sections of the building’s roofs together. More than one engineering companies were involved in the construction and design of the centre roof opening. The total surface area of the roof is 200,000 meter square which is around 2,152,782 square feet, and to support the centre of this roof creating the unique structure with the centre opening, took 12,370 tonnes of steel which is around 27,271,181 pounds to complete its construction.

One of the main attractions at the Ferrari world themed amusement park is the ‘Formula Rossa’, the world’s fastest roller coaster in the world with the top speed of 240 kph or 150 mph.
The ‘Formula Rossa’ consists of two models the Formula 1 design and the Ferrari F430. Each model accommodates four passengers comfortably where are the Formula 1 design is eight due to the two halves attached that form one unit. Being a passenger on one of those models will create the sense of riding in a Ferrari on the Formula 1 race track, but in the air instead.
On November 11, 2010 the drivers of the Ferrari Formula 1 team Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa have Ridden the ‘Formula Rossa’ in Abu Dhabi a week after the opening date of the Ferrari World which was on November 4, 2010.
The Ferrari World will the world’s first and largest Ferrari theme park in the world bearing the name of Ferrari which was opened on the second half of 2010.
It is distinctive that this huge project is part of a larger project which is to make the Yas Island into a global tourist attraction, because this island is characterized by a waterfront with the length of 32 km. The island has already hosted the award for Etihad Airways Formula 1 in November of the year 2010.
